Introduction to Customer Experience
Adam Slayton has been involved in customer facing roles in the utility industry since 2008.  He began his career at Dominion Energy in northern Virginia as a Designer, responsible for engineering new facilities to serve residential and commercial buildings while managing customer relationships throughout the project.  Adam was heavily involved in customer communications as a Marketing Coordinator for Dominion Energy's Strategic Underground program, where he organized large community meetings to discuss upcoming projects with impacted customers.  

Since moving to Richmond, he led the back office support team for Dominion Energy's Key Accounts group, providing white glove treatment to the company's largest customers.  Currently, Adam is leading the Customer Service workstream on Dominion Energy's new customer information platform which will launch in 2023 entitled Customer Core.

He graduated from James Madison University, earning his BA in English, where he is involved in JMU's College of Arts and Letters Alumni advisory board.  In 2020, Adam wrote and published a children's book based on one of his three sons.
