Fernando is a business and customer success (CS) leader with experience across enterprise software, the US defense industrial base, government agencies and commercial enterprises. He has a track record of translating business objectives into execution strategy, building teams in a matrixed environment, and scaling global operations that’s focused on outcomes, impact, and value. He’s currently responsible for leading CS professionals enabling data teams on their cloud lakehouse journey, to unlock the power of AI/Machine Learning — serving Latin America, North America, and Public Sector at Databricks.
Fernando is passionate about the democratization of data and AI tools, bridging the digital divide and promoting a more diverse & inclusive tech industry. He’s active in university boards, provides STEM mentorship to underrepresented communities and supports a pipeline of LatinX leaders through the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC). He holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and M.S. from Johns Hopkins University. In his free time he enjoys new adventures with his twin boys, reading, and spending time in nature.
