Dr. Jameo (JAY-me-oh) Pollock is a workforce development, education strategist, and human performance improvement professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the higher education, government, and non-profit industries.
He currently works as the Statewide Technical Training Manager for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), where he provides oversight, leadership, and state-of-the-art strategies for technical programs and human performance improvement. These programs include all apprenticeship programs, the maintenance training academy, the materials certification school, external education partnerships, and over 121 unique licenses and certifications. Prior to his current role, he served as the Workforce Development Training Coordinator of Continuing Education and adjunct instructor for both Reynolds Community College and John Tyler Community College. He has also held positions as general manager, senior director, master fitness, logistician, and is also a U.S. Army Airborne Combat veteran. Throughout his years of experience, Jameo has introduced simulated, virtual, augmented and scenario-based learning, created a holistic apprenticeship model, and been appointed by the Governor to the Apprenticeship Advisory Council. |
