JJ joined the Dale Carnegie organization as a franchise owner in 2000. He serves as a Chairman of the Board of the Virginia Council for CEOs and also as Past-President of the International Dale Carnegie Franchisee Association. He is very involved in Goochland Youth Athletic Association Football.

He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Roanoke College and resides in Goochland, Virginia with his wife Samantha and children Ike and Millie.
