Julie is the Vice President of Membership & Partnerships for the Society for International Development's Washington Chapter (SID-W). Julie oversees SID-W’s membership recruitment, retention, and partnerships. Julie is responsible for designing and implementing activities and services that provide value to members, promote membership growth, and increase SID-W’s visibility.

With over 15 years of experience in the international development community, Julie has spent most of her career bringing people together to solve some of the most pressing issues around the world. Prior to joining SID-W, Julie worked with InterAction, the largest coalition of U.S.-based NGOs working on international development and humanitarian response.

As InterAction’s Director of Innovation and Learning, Julie created products and programs that promoted technology, innovation, and learning. She led the development of NGO Aid Map, a digital platform that served to increase publicly available information on international development and humanitarian programming around the world and provide insight on the impact of the alliance.

With an extensive background in project management, resource development, and partnership building, Julie spearheaded various initiatives spanning across the international development and humanitarian sector while working at InterAction. Her expertise includes online learning and training, digital strategy and design, platform development, gender mainstreaming, food security, and diversity and inclusion.

Julie served as an adjunct professor for Human Rights Education Associates (HREA), where she taught a course on advanced gender mainstreaming. She holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology, Bachelor of Arts in sociology, and Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Florida. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her family.
