Northern Trust’s Foundation and Institutional Advisors

Mike is Director for Northern Trust’s Foundation and Institutional Advisors based in Washington, DC. With more than 30 years of experience servicing nonprofits, he joined Northern Trust in 2014 and has held senior level investment advisory positions since 1996.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Mike was the National Director of Nonprofit Investment Services at Rockefeller & Co. Before that he served as a Jesuit Scholastic, Professor of Management, Consultant to Refugee & Development Agencies (e.g., El Salvador, Soweto, South Africa, Thai/Cambodian Border …), UNHCR ESL Instructor at the Philippine Refugee Processing Center, Morong Baton, Philippines and VISTA volunteer at Columbus, Ohio.”

He received his MBA from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business (Honors), Masters’ Degrees in Divinity (M.Div.) & Theology (Th.M.) from Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA (Honors) and B.S. from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Mike holds a Certified Financial Manager (CFM) Certificate, an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning (eCFP) from Georgetown University and a Series 7, 65 & 63. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma & Alpha Mu Alpha (Honor Societies).

Mike serves on the Board & Finance Committee of the UN Association. He recently served on the Board & Finance Committee of the Jesuit Refugees Services/USA. Mike completed two NYC Marathons.
