Mike Jackson, SHRM-CP, is the Manager of Employee Experience for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is the world’s largest human resources association representing over 300,000 members globally. In this role, Mike oversees employee relations and engagement for SHRM’s 400-plus staff around the world and is responsible for reinforcing a positive, impactful employee experience that contributes to SHRM’s purpose – to elevate HR.
Prior to joining the HR team, Mike worked for 8 years on SHRM’s Global Outreach and Operations team and with the former Council for Global Immigration (CFGI) as the Manager of Exchange Visitor Programs and Marketing. Previously, he served as the University Relations Manager at the Association for International Practical Training (AIPT), the Communications and Outreach Officer at the Washington, DC-based Middle East Institute (MEI), and has also worked at the University of Southern California’s School of International Relations and at Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick Public Affairs. Mike serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) and on the Advisory Council of IAESTE United States.
